“Have I mention…

“Have I mentioned I like you more than anyone else in the world?
As much as I enjoy Christmas with my family, I am looking forward to next Christmas even more. You are an amazing gift from God, and I treasure the fact that we will be together forever.
Just a sappy thought from your boy Josh”

Bible for Teachers

I am half-way done with my Bible charts. You have been so sweet and faithful to sit with me as I work on them, and to be my sounding board. It made me want to burst with joy the other day when I was showing you my charts and my creative response for Psalms because you just got this big smile on your face. When I asked about it, you said “Oh, I’m just super stoked that my future wife is so crafty and creative!”
Never did I imagine that you would be so serious about me, or that you would see our life together so clearly. I love how excited you are about the future, and that you see me in it. It eases my anxious heart when I question whether or not we have committed too fast, and I know that you are confident that I am the only one for you.
You are such a blessing to me.

This Made My Day.

“I feel really horrible for being such a mess this week. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright. Let’s get through this week – I won’t hold anything you say or do against you this week, and no hard feelings. It will be good practice for me, since you won’t be happy and go-lucky every day in the future. And it will make up for those days when I’m an idiot and make your life miserable. Don’t worry about it. I like you every day, not just the nice days on the boardwalk.

“What does love mean to you? Because to me, it means that I like you a whole lot… that I want to marry you, have children with you, and spend the rest of my life with you… and I think that’s where we are.”
